    PRWEEK CRISIS COMMS CONFERENCE

Crises descend upon organizations faster than ever before, from more directions than ever. And tech advances such as AI add an entirely new, yet huge, element to the conversation.

Think Nestlé, Kroger, Astronomer, Cracker Barrel, Beam Suntory, Amazon Web Services, American Eagle and many others that have found themselves mired in crisis this year.

Old playbooks simply won’t cut it any longer. You need a new approach. That’s where the 2026 PRWeek Crisis Comms Conference comes in.

For the fourth consecutive year, PRWeek will convene communicators in our nation’s capital to equip them with the tactics necessary to pivot at a moment’s notice for unexpected occurrences that are now the norm, not the exception.

This counsel is so valuable because the ramifications of getting crisis comms wrong have never been more severe.

On April 16, 2026, PRWeek will gather top industry executives who have been through the crisis trenches to share their collective decades of experience.

This is a must-attend event for every communicator and marketer, no matter your discipline or work environment. You’ll join over 200 fellow professionals for networking, inspiration and lessons you can apply immediately to your own practice.

The 2026 PRWeek Crisis Comms Conference is an event you won’t want to miss.

    KRISTIN CABOT

FORMER CHIEF PEOPLE OFFICER AT ASTRONOMER, HR EXPERT, ANTI-BULLYING ADVOCATE

Kristin Cabot is a leading human resources executive, the former Chief People Officer of Astronomer, and an anti-bullying advocate. She was thrust into the spotlight during a Coldplay concert in July, 2025 when a brief video of a personal moment went instantly viral (300 billion UVMs to date). Overnight, she was a global household name and unwitting public person, whose virality brought out the bullies and shamers.

Traumatized, Cabot was unable to leave her home, her children were attacked online, and she quit the job she loved. She began receiving unending vitriol, harassment, and myriad death threats. Confronted by the sheer extremity of the anger against her, Cabot questioned its legitimacy and the apparent double-standard posited by many of her online attackers who were largely women. She now advocates against ritual public shaming, working to better understand and repair a cultural phenomenon that unhesitatingly and relentlessly tears others down in lieu of choosing kindness.
